As interesting as the headline is the story itself. If reports smoking out of Bollywood are to be believed then we can witness the clash of Titans, we mean with regards to the film industry. Red Chillies VFX, Yash Raj FIlms and Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya’s Ocher Studios will be vying with each other in the National Association of Broadcasters show to be held in The three production houses will also be making their presentations. Reports suggest that the production houses will also extend their service to not just desi but foreign films as well. The highest billing among these three production houses has been given to given to SRK’s Red Chillies VFX. Not to mention that SRK’s production has ventured into making animation films as well. Rajinikanth’s Ocher Studios has ventured in to the production and making of the animated film ‘Sultan – The warrior’, with a whooping budget of 70 crore rupees. Reports indicate that there is tough competition existing between Red Chillies VFX and Ocher Studios. And with Yash Raj films too coming out with an animation film titled ‘Roadside Romeo’ the competition is getting stiffer. Now the best we can do is just wait till the calender turns April 15th and watch who gets picked as the best! |

Ajith: From beard to stubble!
Sunday, March 30th, 2008|
A couple of months back there was much ado about Ajith’s growing beard, and the cine journos in Kollywood were going wild spinning yarns of stories about the bearded actor. Then news was out that the reason behind Ajith sporting the beard was for a new look in his upcoming film ‘Aegan’. We have online channels also flashing certain pictures of the actor cocooned in woolen suits wielding a gun. Real cool pics. This is one hero who looks great with any look or costume that he dons. Recently, Ajith was spotted with the lightest of stubble and glasses, and looked really ….oomph. Sources suggest that this is another look that the actor will sport for the film. Sources also suggest that the bearded look that Ajith doned for the film were for the flashback scenes. Ajith will soon be seen together with the heroine Nayantara of the film ‘Aegan’, for the songs shoot. The director of this film dance choreographer Raju Sundaram has promised to give the audience a great entertainer. Suhasini Manirathnam plays pivotal role and Navdeep plays Ajith’s half-brother in this film. This film so far has made the right kind of hype, something which has surely raised the curiosity of the movie goers. |

Recycling the old Tamil titles has become a fashion statement in Kollywood today. Interestingly ‘Deivamagan’, featured Sivaji Ganesan in triple roles. Produced by Box Office Company, the movie features a debutant Dev in the lead role. Meera Jasmine plays the heroine. Directed by Vettri, Deivamagan will go to floors soon. According to Vettri, “it is no remake of the Sivaji classic. It has a gripping storyline sure to entertain masses. Triple delight for Prasanna
Sunday, March 30th, 2008|
Actor Prasanna has emerged the blue eyed boy of Kollywood. The young actor has had three successful films this year, at a time when other movies are failing to pass the muster at the box-office. Prasanna’s ‘Sadhu MirandaaÂ’, directed by Siddique, Mysskin’s ‘AnjatheyÂ’ and ‘Kannum KannumÂ’ received positive reviews and managed a good collection. A happy Prasanna says,” I am really fortunate to begin the year in a fantastic way. Three hits in three months is no mean task. I thank my fans, producers and directors. Hopefully my next ‘Achchamundu AchchamunduÂ’ goes on to become a hit. ‘Sadhu MirandaaÂ’ proved that I can handle action roles with ease. ‘AnjatheyÂ’ was different from my earlier films as I had tried my hands successfully at playing an anti-hero’s role. ‘Kannum KannumÂ’ is an emotional pot-boiler where I won rave reviews for playing a matured role”. |
