Well, if you feel that one and only story that has been holding its place in headlines of tinsel town for continuous three years, its Dasavatharam. Padmashri Kamal Haasan himself had addressed that its one of his biggest, longest and hardest projects in his entire career. With the actor himself curiously waiting for release of the film, Producer V. Ravichandran and his brother Ramesh Babu of Oscar Films have been disappointing Kamal Haasan over for a long time.

Right before couple of years, the movie was launched and Oscar Ravichandran had announced that Dasavatharam would be released along with Superstar Rajnikanth starrer Sivaji. However, there were no news about it later till Kamal Haasan himself started to talk openly about the film’ release. In a public gathering, he said, ‘Film’s release date has been confirmed on January 14, 2008 for the occasion of Pongal’. But it was a great disappointment for him when the film wasn’t released and then Brothers of Oscar Films came up with conclusion that they will be soon releasing the film on April 14 and audio launch will be held a month prior to it. Also Ravichandran had said the audio launch will have great stars including Jackie Chan taking part in it.

However, when asked about this to Kamal Haasan, his immediate reply was that he wasn’t informed about this earlier and it was shocking to hear about this through the third person.

Finally, Oscar Productions has again postponed the film’s release to May 2008 and this has dashed all the hopes of Kamal Haasan. He says, ‘I am completely out of this project for my works are completed and its producers who are delaying the release’

At present, Padmashri Kamal Haasan is geared up with two projects: Malayalam movie Kandhahar with Mohan Lal directed by Major Ravi and Marmayogi produced by Walt Disney.

Actor Siddharth in his forthcoming movie ‘Blood Brothers’ performs the role of a homosexual and this happens to be one of the sensational news. Music Director turned filmmaker Vishal Bharadwaj won the accolades with his previous film Omkara. Now his Blood Brothers will be a suspense-thriller featuring Siddarth, Ayesha Takia and Pankaj Kapoor in lead roles.

The thriller tale centers on a man who is thrown into great turmoil when he become the case of mistaken identity of a HIV positive by a wrong diagnostic report. Finally, with striding efforts he tracks down the man who is actually the victim of HIV Positive to get struck by another shock.

Kamal Hassan Narpani Iyakkam who have been known for their charitable acts have planned to donate examination kits containing exam pads, pen, pencil, eraser, scale, sharpener to 30,000 poor and downtrodden deserving students ranging from 6th to 8th standards who will be appearing for the ensuing final examinations. Under this scheme 1000 students from each district in Tamilnadu will be benefited.

In the first phase Sri. Kamalhaasan has donated the examination kit to 1000 students belonging to Chennai at his office this morning at 8.00AM. According to Mr.Gunaseelan Administrator Kamal haasan Narpani Iyakkam,the remaining students of other districts will receive this examination kit after proper scrutiny within few days. The event was organised by Mr.Gunaseelan Administrator Kamal haasan Narpani Iyakkam, Nikil PRO, South madras president Mr.John, North madras Shankar, Rasipuram Mani, Tutucorin Sekar, Vilupuram Sundarapandi, Palani Imam.

Sreedhar and Dr.Raghupathy who are recipients of Best Teacher Awards from the Tamil Nadu State Government also participated in this function. The approximate cost of this charitable act would be around Rupees Eight lakh.

Actor Madhavan experimenting with different roles again steps into chocolate boy role. Though his previous film Vaazthugal depicted him in a romantic role, if overweight marked of his ageing. Getting note of this, Maddy has now started working on reducing his weight. One of the finest reasons is that he feels that he should look as a perfect match with Shruthi Haasan who is 10 years younger than him.

Both of them will be featured on lead roles in a Hindi film directed by Nishikanth Kamath who earlier joined hands with Madhavan for Evano Oruvan. This film is a romance thriller and shooting will hit the floors within couple of months.

Winning accolades with recently released Anjathey, Director Mysskin is fleeting over the top with good response from audiences. First, he expresses his heartily thanks to Producer Hitesh Jhabak for giving him total freedom in bringing out his innovations on the screen.

Speaking about the support rendered by cast and crew, he says that Prasanna was more concerned to take up the negative role right from the time he was narrated with the script.  Naren and Mysskin have been sharing good rapport with each other and that is one of the finest reasons for the film’s success.

At present, Mysskin is in talk with Vishal discussing the script for his next film. The film is expected to be an action thriller. Vishal, who keeps performing the same commercial sort of movies, is deeply looking for a change of track. Probably Mysskin would be right person to present him in different style.

With Azhagiya Tamizh Magan turning out to be a great flop, Vijay with all his might is tripped with full involvement, shooting for the film Kuruvi. Shooting for the film is close on the heels of getting completed and now final set of shooting is scheduled at Salem. The entire team including Director Dharani, Trisha, Vijay and others worked well completing the schedule. 

Soon after completing the shooting, actor Vijay will be extending his trip from Salem to Erode after completing the shoot. The reason is that his fans club members of Erode have planned for a social welfare programme.

During last week at the CST School grounds.Vijay’s father Director S.A.Chandrashekar, Mayor of Erode Mayor Murugesan, Minister of Handloom and Textiles NKKP Raja, MLA Pazhanichamy and many others took part in this social welfare occasion.

The event included distribution of computers to Government Schools and tricycles to physically challenged students.

Director Ameer and actor Karthi is said have developed a great problem due to some controversial statement rendered by Ameer. Though both of them had together for receiving awards at Berlin Film Festival, sources close to them have stated that they didn’t have any sort of conversation.  In fact, they didn’t even smile at each other during their fleet of journey.

Glimpsing at their gathering, many media channels had assumed that both are together and also it went up to the extent of a rumor that both will be joining hands again for a future project.

But now, diehard fans of Paruthiveeran are greatly disappointed to hear this… We all know there are no permanent enemies or friends when it comes to tinsel town. Isn’t that right?  

Actor Srikanth with more elated moods celebrated his 29^th birthday on February 28 at his residence at Kumaran Colony in Chennai. This birthday is something special to him, since he has come out of all his problems and looks after getting married with Vandhana. On this occasion, he took blessings from his parents and later to a greater surprise, he had his fans all over the state fleeting towards his residence to convey their birthday wishes.

The fans turned the street into a gala feat bursting crackers and distributing sweets and food for those who gathered there for the occasion. Srikanth Fan Club Association’s state President Guna along with other members including Sudhakar and Vadivelu had arranged for this grand celebration.

At present, Srikanth looks more focused on his career shooting for couple of films Indiravizha and Poo.

One couldn’t make it to find about the whereabouts on actor Suman. Well, he was having a great time in Telugu Film Industry and Sivaji had a great welcome for him in Kollywood. Now, he is getting roped into great projects to play important as well negative roles.

Kuruvi starring Vijay and Trisha in lead roles has Suman playing negative role as an international smuggler. However, sources close to him have stated that he is performing an important role in Ajith’s next project Aegan.

Apart from this, he is in talks with more couple of great directors and soon it would be announced.

 Actually Prakash Raj was supposed to play the roles of Suman in both these projects. However, Prakash Raj has now became more careless about his career and approach towards other personalities in the industry isn’t convincing. So chances are just fleeting away from him to Suman.

Vikram is quite thrilled about this now and a long time question “why Mani hasn’t done any films with Vikram’ thus comes to an end. Manirathnam has now decided to make a bilingual film in Hindi and Tamil. The Hindi version will have Abishek Bacchan and his wife Aishwarya Rai playing lead roles while Vikram appears on an important role.  

However, with the same script being made in Tamil, buzzes are that Vikram will be playing the same lead role in Tamil version pairing up with Aishwarya Rai.
