Choose your device and follow the steps
The Fire TV Stick 4K Select and the 2026 Fire TV Stick HD run Amazon’s new Vega OS, which blocks installing apps from outside the Amazon Appstore. Every older Fire OS Stick works fine, including the 4K and 4K Max.
Go to Settings › My Fire TV › About and click your device name repeatedly until it says You are now a developer. Then open Settings › My Fire TV › Developer Options and turn on Apps from Unknown Sources.
From the Fire TV home screen, search for Downloader and install it. It is free.
Launch Downloader, tap Allow if it asks, then type the address below.

Open the TamilGrounds app and log in with your username and password. Use your username, not your email address.
If a security message appears during step 4, choose Settings, select Install unknown apps, turn on the toggle for Downloader, then go back and choose Install.
The first time you open the app, if Developer options appear, choose Install unknown app and turn on the toggle for TamilGrounds. That lets the app install its own updates later.
Delete the old app first: Settings › Applications › Manage Installed Applications › TamilGrounds › Uninstall, then follow the steps above.
Open the Google Play Store on your Android TV box and install the Downloader app by AFTVnews.
Go to Settings › Apps › Special app access › Install unknown apps and enable it for Downloader. On some boxes this is at Settings › Security & Restrictions › Unknown sources.
Open Downloader and type the address below.
Type this into Downloader

Log in with your username, not your email. To update, uninstall the old app first, then follow these steps again.
On Android 8.0 and higher go to Settings › Apps › Special app access › Install unknown apps, pick your browser and turn on Allow from this source. On Android 7 and below it is Settings › Security › Unknown sources.
Open your browser and go to the address below.

If your browser blocks the download, try Chrome or Firefox. Log in with your username, not your email.
These steps are for the Android-powered MAG boxes, which have an A in the model number — MAG 425A and MAG 424Aw3. The classic Linux MAG boxes cannot install apps at all.
Using your remote, go to Settings › Security & Restrictions and turn on Unknown sources. On some boxes this is at Settings › Apps › Security.
Open the Google Play Store on your MAG box and install the Downloader app by AFTVnews.
Launch Downloader, tap Allow if it asks, then type the address below.
Type this into Downloader

Models such as MAG 254, 322, 420, 424, 540 and 544 do not install apps. They run our MAG portal instead, which is currently in beta.
